Perry County Library Board

Members of the Perry County Library Board consists of 5 individuals who reside in Perry County. They are appointed to 4 year terms by the Perry County Commission, with appointments occurring in July of each year. Members of the Perry County Library Board serve the Riverside Regional Library Board of Trustees that is the governing and policy-setting body of a public library, as established under Sections 182.010 to 182.130 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. 

The Riverside Regional Library Board of Trustees is composed of 15 members of the County Library District Boards from Cape Girardeau, Perry and Scott Counties. The County Commissioners of each county appoint five county library district members, which then serve on the Riverside Regional Library Board of Trustees. 

The Riverside Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 pm. The meetings are open to the public and held at the Jackson Main branch of Riverside Regional Library located at 1997 E Jackson Blvd, Jackson, MO 63755  unless otherwise announced.

If you have any questions or are interested in serving on the Perry County Library Board please contact the Perry County Clerk at 573-547-4242, or email at jwmkutz@perrycountymo.us. Submit a letter of interest, along with a Board, Commission or Committee Application Form to the Perry County Commission one month prior to the month of selection in order to be considered for a position. Should mid-term resignations occur, the Commission will inform the community and request individuals put their interest in serving in writing. Letters of interest can be mailed to the Perry County Commission at 321 N Main St., Suite 2, Perryville MO 63775, or delivered in person to the Perry County Clerk's office located at the same address as listed on the first floor of the Perry County Administration Building.
