The Office of County Collector is a countywide elected position for a term of four years. Our goal is to serve the citizens of Perry County in a responsible and respectful way, by providing friendly, efficient, progressive, and accountable services while fulfilling our obligation to follow the Statues of the State of Missouri.

Responsibilities
The County Collector is responsible for the collection of current and delinquent property taxes for the county and various political subdivisions within the county, which have authorized property tax levies.

The department is also responsible for the accounting and distribution of collections to tax entities such as school, library, and health center. The collection of merchant license fees, auctioneer, utility, and levee and railroad taxes are also the responsibility of the County Collector.

The Collector’s office is also responsible for conducting the delinquent real estate tax certificate sale held the fourth Monday of every August. Primary tax records are maintained and held for public use within the Collector's office.
